In 2009, in response to market demand for quality, affordable instructional design services and solutions, Gateway Instructional Design Group, LLC was founded by Kipton R. Blue and Richard Gibson.

Today, Gateway provides its clients with turnkey solutions to their training and distance learning needs through innovation, creativity and technical excellence.

Kipton R Blue - CEO
Co-founder

Kipton R Blue grew up in Wichita, Kansas the son
of a banker, and has spent his entire adult life as an entrepreneur in Kansas City. He has an extensive background in public relations, real estate investment, healthcare and banking. Mr. Blue serves as a director and owner of Republic Financial & Southwest National Bank and Trust in Wichita, Kansas and is an active volunteer for local non-profits.

Mr. Blue received his B.S. in Advertising from the University of Kansas in 1982. Married with three adult children, Mr. Blue enjoys art, music, literature, history and time with his chocolate lab.

Rick Gibson – President
Co-founder, Client Relations

Rick is a communications industry veteran of 25 years experienced in start-up and fortune one hundred company management. He is an expert in product strategy, ideation, development, delivery and management of technology based services, with a business development and sales background. As an executive Rick has led the introduction of many new services based on web, wireless and telecom technologies for such companies as Sprint, Cox Cable, McDonald’s, Harley Davidson and Universal Studios. Since 2004 Rick has been focused on multi-media digital content products and services for mass market consumers. Rick attended Missouri State University.
